California Rental Association, RenTrain Sign Business Alliance
BOULDER, CO Rentrain, Inc., CEO Jim Ziegler and California Rental Association (CRA) Executive Director Chuck Maltese have announced a new business alliance between the two organizations.
Were very excited about this agreement, Ziegler said. Our goal is to make the equipment rental process safer, more efficient and more profitable. We are committed to that goal, and one of the best ways to make that happen is to get our product in front of as many rental store owner/managers as possible. The alliance between CRA and RenTrain will help us do that.
Not only does this agreement represent a new and exciting product that will educate and inform the entire industry, it also represents a major source of new revenue for the California Rental Association, Maltese said.
Under the terms of the agreement, any CRA member who signs an annual subscription contract with RenTrain will have a percentage of that fee automatically rebated to CRA. The agreement is not a one-year deal, Maltese said. As long as the rental store maintains its membership with CRA and renews its subscription with RenTrain, the rebate also is renewed.
Our product has developed to the point where we are ready to aggressively market our services to the industry, Ziegler said. Key to our long-term growth is the formation of alliances with key players in the industry. Weve been shopping for forward-thinking organizations, and CRA answered the call. This is true win-win agreement. RenTrain now has access to CRAs membership, and CRA now has a new and potentially significant source of revenue. We have already written them a check for those dealers that signed up with RenTrain, and we plan to write many more. Together, we are confident that we can continue development on our product for the benefit of the entire rental industry.
According to Maltese, the two organizations formed the alliance in response to a growing number of requests from CRA member rental stores to provide information on how to begin to use the Internet in the most effective manner possible, specific to the needs of equipment rental store owner/operators.
RenTrain contacted me just prior to the ARA convention last winter and suggested they may have a service offering of interest to our members, Maltese said. After I watched the demonstration, I recognized immediately the importance of the RenTrain product. One of the most frequent requests my office fields from members are how to make the Internet work for independent rental stores. RenTrain had the perfect product. In all my years as executive director of CRA, I have never told our members that they should buy a specific product. Im telling them they should consider buying the RenTrain product.
Maltese also said he was impressed by the fact that RenTrain is designed to help both independent rental centers that have never done anything with the Internet and rental centers that have more experience with the Internet.

The RenTrain product is a very well designed service, Maltese said. No matter your level of skill with the Internet, RenTrain can help. They have a list of service offerings designed to meet the needs of the beginner and the advanced user. Its a product definitely worth a long look.
RenTrain already has demonstrated its product to three CRA Territory meetings with plans for more.
