 To determine the size of pump needed you must know approximately how much water needs to be moved. The following formulas should help you determine what size pump you will need for your particular job.
Rectangular pool or body of water
Length x Width x Average Depth x 7.5 = Total Gallons
Circular pool or body of water
Diameter x Diameter x Average Depth x 5.9 = Total Gallons
