Having too much or not enough concrete for your job can be costly and add unnecessary work. Use our aaaurent.com concrete calculators to help determine how much concrete you need for your job!
TIP! Calculating Post-Holes: Calculate the size of your hole using the Column Calculator. Leave this number in the calculator because you will need it later. Using the Concrete Calculator calculate the size of the portion of the post that will be in the hole. (ex: if you are putting a 12-foot post, 4 inches by 4 inches, in a 3-foot hole you would calculate the size of the post at 3 feet in length (not 12 feet because only 3 feet will be in the hole), 4 inches in thickness, and because the width measures in feet, you would calculate the width as 0.33 feet which equals approximately 4 inches). Then, subtract the number in the "Cubic Yards Required" field in the Concrete Calculator from the number in the "Cubic Yards Required" field in the Column Calculator. The number you get is the amount of concrete needed to fill a single hole. Multiply that number by the number of holes you need to fill and that equals the total amount of concrete needed for your job.
